Built-To-Order shopping carts (a.k.a product configurators) are pretty rare over the internet because the companies who need such a system usually order a complete website from a webdesign company not knowing there is a ready-to-use software capable to accomodate their specific needs. We tend to believe that iNTELcart BTO is exactly what these companies need and even more.
How does it work?
Built-To-Order cart means that the customer of the virtual shop shop can customize the products or services offered by the virtual shop prior to purchase. Think of it like a car configurator system. You start from a base product and then you add or drop features/options based on what you like or need. Then, you place the order and pay for it.
Many of our iNTELcart BTO customers are using this software to power their virtual stores operating in IT market. They create standard configurations and set the compatibility rules between these standard configurations and the rest of the components that can be added or removed from the standard system. In the end the buyer can choose the standard configuration as-is or he can further customize it the way he wants. This way, the seller can set a different price for a stand-alone component and for the same component used in a complete system configuration.
